Greenboard - Morningstar By All Accounts Custodial Connection Instructions 

Greenboard currently supports direct custodial connections with Charles Schwab & Fidelity. Many additional custodians are supported via our partnership with Morningstar. Step 1 for feed setup via Morningstar will vary by custodian - Step 2 & 3 will remain the same.

Step 1 requires initiating a connection to Morningstar, often via either (a) your custodian’s website (e.g., Altruist), or (b) emailing your custodian relationship manager (e.g., SEI Trust). Full instructions for your custodian can be found in the document here.


Step 1: Initiate a connection between your custodian and Morningstar By All Accounts.

Example #1 (Altruist)

  • Log onto Altruist’s website and go to Integrations under Settings.

  • Connect “Morningstar ByAllAccounts” as an integration to have data added to the feed.

  • Please list Greenboard in the 3rd party platform provider field. This helps Altruist and ByAllAccounts keep track of the technology platforms receiving data on behalf of advisors.

Example #2 (SEI Trust) 

  • Email your SEI relationship manager to initiate the request of getting data added to the Morningstar ByAllAccounts feed.

  • SEI will set up a Request ID and notify the requestor and Morningstar once complete.

Note: Steps below will be the same across all custodians supported through Morningstar

Step 2: Email [email protected] to request feed setup. Required fields in email: 

  • Email Subject: "[Custodian Name] - SFTP Access - Feed Setup Request - Advisory Firm (Greenboard)"

  • Requesting Advisor: The first and last name of the advisor requesting the feed setup.

  • Requesting Advisor Email Address: The email address of the advisor requesting the setup.

  • Advisory Firm: The firm the requesting advisor is associated with.

  • Technology Platform Provider: Greenboard

  • Request ID / Rep Code: A unique identifier that allows ByAllAccounts identify which accounts should be associated with a given user.

  • ByAllAccounts User Email Address: [email protected]

Step 3: ByAllAccounts will confirm data has been successfully added to the feed, authorize user access, and email the feed password to the address provided.
